Forex – AUD/USD holds steady, kiwi slips lower in late trade

The Australian dollar was little changed against its U.S. counterpart on Monday, while the New Zealand dollar slipped lower as expectations for U.S. rate hike in December continued
to support the greenback, although fresh geopolitical tensions weighed. Trading volumes were expected to remain thin with U.S. markets closed for Columbus Day. AUD/USD held
steady at 0.7763, not far from Friday’s three-month lows of 0.7732. The dollar retreated following reports on Friday that North Korea is preparing to test a long-range missile, adding
to fears over a potential conflict in the region. But the greenback remained broadly
supported as the wage data from Friday’s U.S. jobs report was seen as potentially boosting inflation. The U.S. economy lost 33,000 jobs in September, the Labor Department reported,
ending seven straight years of job growth. But the decline was driven by slower hiring due to the effects of Hurricanes Irma and Harvey. The unemployment rate fell to 4.2%, the lowest since 2001 and average hourly earnings rose 2.9% from a year earlier. The uptick in wage inflation bolstered expectations that the Federal Reserve will hike interest rates in December.
Expectations that U.S. rates will rise help support the dollar by making U.S. assets more attractive to yield-seeking investors. NZD/USD slipped 0.21% to trade at 0.7074, just off Friday’s four-month trough of 0.7059. The U.S. dollar index, which measures the greenback’s strength against a trade-weighted basket of six major currencies, was steady at 93.63 by 02:15 a.m. ET (06:15 GMT), still close to Friday’s 10-week highs of 94.10.

Polished and informative without feeling overproduced, that is the sweet spot, and a look at garnetvendoroutlet hit it again, you can tell when a site has been built with care versus thrown together for the sake of having something to put online and this is clearly the former approach taken by the team.
Been using Single Bet Calculator for a good few months, usually in the evenings after work, so make of that what you will. Their lobby’s properly stacked — somewhere around 2,500 titles going by the counter, with the usual suspects in there: Play’n GO, Play’n GO, NetEnt. Book of Dead and Gates of Olympus are the ones I keep going back to, though I’ve had more luck on the Megaways stuff.
The welcome offer was 100% up to ?500 with 100 free spins, and you’re looking at wagering of 35x which is fair enough for the UK market. Not gonna lie, I only cleared it because I was playing anyway — the spins expire in 72 hours to use them, and that caught me out. A no deposit offer floats about too — about ?5 if you verify early, nothing life-changing but free is free.
I’d say the live side is the stronger half. Evolution’s the provider, meaning you’ve got real croupiers, a fair few blackjack and roulette tables, and the game shows like Crazy Time and Lightning Roulette. Quality’s been steady even on mobile data, which some sites still can’t manage. You can see what’s running right now over on Double Bet Calculator rather than trusting my numbers.
Withdrawals from Single Bet Calculator have been decent — e-wallet took under 12 hours for me, debit card ran the usual couple of days. They take Visa, Mastercard, e-wallets and Bitcoin, min deposit’s ?10. Verification was the annoying bit — they wanted a utility bill which took 48 hours.
Took maybe three minutes to open the account, UKGC licensed with all the safer gambling tools baked in. There’s no dedicated app, but the site scales fine on Android and iOS though an app would be nicer. Support at Single Bet Calculator answers within a few minutes usually, but you’ll wrestle with an automated agent before a human shows up. The actual agents knew what they were doing.
